Noëlla speaks at Cambridge University 'Let's Talk Africa'
Noëlla was invited to speak at Cambridge University for their Let’s Talk Africa forum. A stimulating conversation on the role of the educated diaspora as ‘change agents’.
Let’s Talk Africa was conceived due to the increasing number of African students acquiring excellent quality education overseas and in light of the global economic climate and other factors such as changing immigration rules that is forcing many overseas graduates to consider returning home to contribute to the development of Africa.
Noëlla spoke about GMF’s aims and how the GMF School is working to provide 152 girls with an education. The community centre which GMF is building in collaboration with FIFA, and the two wells built in collaboration with VOSS Foundation, one for the school and one for the community of Kalebuka, were of interest to the assembled crowd.
Noëlla also addressed the situation in Eastern DRC. She spoke of her hope that we can build peace in her home country.
